Farewell… but not goodbye!

After several years of running a successful blog on the beloved peregrine falcons, we’ve decided that the time has come for a new chapter in the project which will involve us passing on the blogging mantle to our partners, the local wildlife trust.

The popular live nest cameras will still be viewable from NTU’s falcon web page. We are instead looking to explore opportunities for research in relation to the birds and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has kindly agreed to host comments of the falcon followers on its Facebook page, a platform which is already well used by enthusiasts.

We’d like to thank you all for following our blog and for taking the time to write comments and helping develop the online, global community which it has become. We’ll look back with great fondness on the trials and tribulations of the birds which we shared with you over the years.

We’re keen for this great online community to continue so we hope that you will start to use the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Facebook page well. Our blog will remain open for a month while the transition takes place. We hope that you enjoy establishing the community on there well ahead of next year’s nesting season.
